Asset screener
An energy position and building profile for every building at portfolio speed, each tagged with how confident we are.
Tools: resstock, comstock, building-science, bpd, energy-star, brave-search
One pass across a portfolio using the real data you hold on each building: a screening model and a short brief per building, fund and owner rollups, a phased program, and a portfolio report. A problem with one building is noted on its row; it does not stop the run.
The expert decides once, at the start: the building list, the rates, and how carbon links to value. After that the run is automatic, because the value of a portfolio pass is that it finishes.
| Step | Expert | Lead agent | Knowledge check | Asset screener | Compliance screener | Retrofit advisor | Portfolio economist | Report writer | Quality reviewer |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Kickoff | Confirm the building list, the rates, and how carbon links to value. | Reads the roster back to you so nothing is missing. | Checks what we already know about each jurisdiction in the portfolio. | ||||||
| 2. Grouping | Groups buildings by age, size, systems and type. | ||||||||
| 3. Per-building screen | Runs the batch. | Energy position per building, tagged by confidence. | Carbon target and penalty exposure per building. | Measure list per group and per building. | |||||
| 4. Portfolio economics | Keeps savings and your share of them separate. | One calculation across the whole portfolio. | |||||||
| 5. Phasing | An install year for every measure. | ||||||||
| 6. Review | Notes issues on the affected rows. | Recalculates the batch; notes issues on the affected rows. | |||||||
| 7. Reports | Receive the portfolio report and a brief for every building. | Renders the report and the briefs. | Portfolio report, plus a brief for every building. |
Each one has a single job. They work from shared files, hand back what they found, and never speak to you directly. Everything comes back through the lead agent.

Tools: resstock, comstock, building-science, bpd, energy-star, brave-search
Carbon target and local penalty exposure per building, fetched by region and type but calculated individually.
Tools: crrem-skills, cambium, bps-compliance
The measure list per group and per building, plus the install schedule.
Tools: measure, costing, incentives, utility_rates
One calculation across the whole set: returns per building and in aggregate, with your share of savings kept separate from the total.
Tools: cashflow
The portfolio report, plus a brief per building built from the saved model. Rollups are sums of the rows beneath them.
Tools: soapbox-agent, xlsx_templater
Recalculates across the batch. One bad building is a note on its row; only a portfolio-wide problem stops the report.
Tools: cashflow, crrem-skills, bpd
The lead agent never improvises. Each of these is decided the same way every time.
If You hold almost no data per building: Retrofit prioritization instead
If not Continue here
If Its baseline holds up: Screen it
If not Marked not screened. The run continues
If It beats your hurdle rate: Recommended
If not Below the bar, unless a regulation requires it
If It affects one building: Note it on that row and carry on
If not If it affects the whole portfolio, stop the report
